Winter Dance
The winter dance was held on Saturday night, February 1 at the Dolomite Lodge in Penfield. The scholars performed the English Country dance that they practiced in gym class. It's a social dance which originated in England in the British Isles and is performed by a group of people, usually in couples with the chance to dance with your partner as well as everyone in the group. It is common in modern times to have a caller. Our callers for the evening were Dan and Barb Seppeler. The fun and colorful theme for the night was Carnival. And as always, the dance ended with everyone dancing arm in arm to "Country Roads"!
Fun night!
